Alex Cross Review

Alex Cross was outstanding. It's Tyler Perry, (House of Payne) like you have never seen before. Usually Tyler Perry does comedy movies, but not this time. Perry plays Detective Dr. Alex Cross. Matthew Fox, (Lost, Vantage Point) deserves the best villain award for this movie. He plays a psychopathic killer. He uses this drug called TTX to kill women. I'm not going to give anything major away because you have to see this movie for yourself. It's way better than what you think it's going to be. It co-stars Edward Burns, (Man on a Ledge) and Rachel Nicols, (G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra). I would give this movie 4 stars out of 5. It's mind-blowing and it keeps you on the edge of your seat till the very end of the film.

End of Watch Review

Jake Gyllenhaal (The Day After Tomorrow, Brokeback Mountain) gives a great performance. He plays officer Brian Taylor. Him and his partner, Michael Pena (Shooter) are chasing down a member of the drug cartel. As they approach the car, they find weapons that are gold and have jewelry on them. This was only the beginning. This movie has suspense and action. Gyllenhaal's character records everything that happens, almost like he was documenting his life. The movie was in documentary form because it was following Gyllenhaal. In the end, they did something that they were not suppose to. Every moment in the movie leads up to the end. I would rate this movie a 3 out of 5 stars.

The Avengers Review

Iron man, Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawk-eye, Black Widow, and Nick Furry all team up in this action-packed movie. All of Marvel's films has led up to this. Marvel's The Avengers was the highest grossing superhero movie of all time. Samuel L. Jackson plays Nick Furry who is the head of the division known as S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division). Loki, Thor's brother, is leading a team of extraterrstrial creatures from space, or in Thor's world, Asgard. Thor wants to protect the people of Earth from this ever happening, but Loki finds a way to acheive it. Nick Furry has proposed the idea several times, but nobody was interested. Now, the whole team of remarkable superheroes must defend and avenge Earth. This movie has action and a little bit of comedy mixed in as well. From director Joss Whedon comes Marvel's The Avengers. This movie deserves a 5 out of 5 stars.

Taken 2 Review

Taken 2 was phenomenal. It was definitely better than the first film. Liam Neeson (Taken, Schindler's List) explodes off the screen. In this film, Brian Mills (Neeson), a retired CIA operative, gets a job offer in Istanbul. Him and his wife get taken by the father of the son who Mills killed in the first film. Maggie Grace co-stars as Kim who is Mills's daughter. She is left at the hotel when her father and mother get kidnapped. It's up to her to find out where her father and mother are being held. Liam Neeson has a very distinctive look. His voice is convincing and powerful. This film was action-packed. It was fast-paced and it got to the point right away. I would rate this movie a 3 and a half out of 5 stars. Hopefully there will be a third film. I would see this movie before it leaves the theaters.

Review of the movie Here Comes the Boom with Kevin James

Here Comes The Boom! Kevin James (King of Queens) stars in this hilarious comedy about a 42 year old biology teacher, Scott Voss, wants to fight MMA( Mixed Martial Arts). The school wants to cut all extra-curricular activities due to having no money to fund them. They are behind 48,000. Henry Winkler (Waterboy, Click) co-stars as Marty who is the music teacher. Scott realizes that Marty might be out of a job if the school doesn't raise the money by the end of the year. Scott then finds himself wanting to fight in MMA. If he lost he would receive 10,000 dollars and if he won he would receive 50,000 dollars. He trains to become better because he needs the money quicker. I would rate this movie 3 stars out of 5. It has humor amd violence. Just what a movie needs. I would see this movie again.
